Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Project Architect and Project Designer to oversee project financial performance and facilitate effective team communication.
You will manage one or more projects from inception to completion, guiding employees and consultants to ensure adherence to project plans, budgets, schedules, and design standards.Management:
- Plan and manage projects, ensuring organized communication through team meetings and updates.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, and other disciplines.
- Monitor construction administration during project phases.
- Develop and maintain positive client and consultant relationships.
Business and Team Leadership:
- Maintain collaborative relationships with Project Leadership Team.
- Lead or participate in multiple project teams as Project Manager.
- Assist in defining project scope, fee, and budget during contract development.
- Communicate project information effectively to clients and team using Deltek Project Management system.
- Contribute to annual business plan development for the unit.
- Identify new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships.
- Participate in marketing and business development efforts.
- Assist in developing fee proposals and marketing materials.
Client Interface:
- Maintain ongoing client communication, keeping them informed of project progress.
- Consult with clients on design requirements and present design proposals.
- Clarify, coordinate, and negotiate critical project issues with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, supporting their professional development.
- Define project staffing needs and make recommendations for staff promotions or terminations.
- Participate in interviews and recruitment of professional staff.
- Foster a collaborative team environment and ensure deadlines are met effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of design, construction methodology, and architectural building systems.
- Proficiency in BIM, Integrated Project Delivery, and sustainability practices.
- Advanced CAD and Revit skills; proficiency in other design and project management software preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in architectural practice with project management responsibility.
- Licensed Architect (OAA) preferred; NCARB registration desirable.
- LEED credential required within 6 months of employment.
