Director of Finance

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Director of Finance to join their team of high-achievers. The Opportunity

As the Director of Finance, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the financial operations of the organization. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the success of a dynamic legal practice while developing your leadership and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, billing, AP, and AR processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing and collections.
• Collaborate with legal teams to streamline billing workflows and improve client communication.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, providing insights and actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Implement and monitor processes to enhance financial efficiency and act as a key financial advisor.
• Support cash flow management, financial forecasting, and budgeting initiatives.
• Partner with leadership to develop and execute financial strategies and best practices.

Qualifications
Our client is looking for an outstanding professional who shares their vision of excellence and client service. The ideal candidate will possess:

• 3+ years of relevant experience demonstrating expertise in financial operations and leadership, ideally within a professional services firm.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with evidence of strong academic performance.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; experience with legal billing systems is an asset.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams effectively.
