Description

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and experienced Civil Infrastructure Group Manager to join our client's team in their Kitchener office. This key role will lead the Civil Infrastructure Group within the broader Kitchener Infrastructure Division of their Ontario operations.

The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of industry experience, a strong leadership presence, and excellent communication skills. This individual will be dedicated to driving the company's growth in the Ontario Civil and Municipal Infrastructure market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the financial performance and success of the Group within the Ontario division
  • Lead, support, and mentor staff, ensuring effective coordination across teams
  • Oversee the delivery of civil and municipal infrastructure projects
  • Manage administrative duties, project execution, business development, marketing strategies, and long-term planning for the Group and Division
  • Contribute as a leader within the Division, providing input to the Ontario operation and the company’s strategic direction in the infrastructure market
  • Serve as a technical leader, offering expertise in civil and municipal infrastructure for both the Division and the wider operation
  • Oversee daily resource management and project execution within the Group, while offering support to other Project Managers
  • Foster collaboration with Group and Project Managers across different offices and operations
  • Lead the pursuit process for the Group, including proposal development, technical content creation, fee structuring, and securing approvals
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, the Division Manager, the VP, General Manager, and HR Generalist to develop staffing needs
  • Build and maintain relationships with Clients, Contractors, and other partners

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineer (PEO) designation or equivalent is strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in planning and design within Ontario’s infrastructure sector
  • 4+ years of leadership experience, including group management, project management, coaching, and mentoring
  • Proven track record in business development and market expansion
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects using recognized project management and quality assurance practices
  • Active involvement in industry associations or professional organizations (e.g., as a board member, volunteer, etc.)
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Ontario and Canada as needed
